11.0 Implementation Plan

Following upon MARINAIR being confirmed by Government in the status of a viable option for the development of major airport infrastructure to serve the south-east of England, it is envisaged that the future sequence of events will be:

acceptance by Government of MARINAIR as a viable option to be included in the present DfT consultation process and subsequent consultation;
further appointment by TEACO of world-class professional organisations to undertake the management, planning, design, construction, etc. of the project. Such organisations will be supported by banks and other financial agencies, legal services and facilities, management and organisation consultants, air transport and air industry advisors, etc.;
selection of MARINAIR as the preferred solution by Government;
planning and public consultation implementation processes; and
beginning of construction and completion of the project.

The Government will be consulted concerning regulation of the airport and its operation.

The timings of these events shall be dependent upon Government's own air transportation priorities but indications are that the design, construction and commissioning stages of the project would provide an operational off-shore estuarial airport in time sufficient to meet the forecast additional demands.
